It's over. IT'S OVER.

My speech, that is. I almost gave myself a heart attack walking in, but walked out in a total state of euphoria, incredibly relieved that I managed to get through it. I think I did okay. People seemed entertained and no one walked out in the middle or anything - I guess those are good signs. There were lots of questions, which actually made things a bit easier for me. If I ever have to do this again, I'll probably be a bit less stressed out about it. Phew.

My Speech...

I should point out that there's some stupid virus going around Facebook right now, so when I woke up this morning, I had a message from one of my friends, telling me something along the lines of "I saw you in this video on YouTube and you look awful".
Oh great, I thought to myself, I'm about to give a speech on web marketing and now I'm looking awful on YouTube - as if I wasn't stressed out enough as it is. I spent all morning trying to view the video (there is no actual video) before I realized it was a virus, and stupidly downloaded the file. I'm not sure if it did anything, but in case you received a similar message from me - please ignore it, and don't click the link.

Tomorrow is the last day of the festival, and I'm feeling the way I always feel when I travel... something between "it feels like I've been here forever" and "this week just went by in five minutes". I'm only halfway through, though - tomorrow I'm off to Leicester (which I can finally spell without peeking. It is apparently pronounced 'Lester'. Who would've thought?). After the workshops, I'll be spending a couple of days in London, just to chill out. I'm flying AlItalia, so on the way back home, I get to spend a day in Rome. I'm secretly contemplating using that time to go back to Murano, just to be there for an hour or two... but then again, I've never been to Rome, so I'll probably just stick around.

Now I should probably get to bed. I'm giving another public demo tomorrow (it's at 2pm, in case you're in the area), and there is much packing to do. Why do suitcases always get smaller and smaller when you travel, even when you're not buying anything? This is definitely a puzzling physical phenomena.

Couple more pics before I go...

Whirling Dervish
A Whirling Dervish (or is it 'twirling'?) - part of the festival's Egyptian theme.

There's more on Flickr of course.
Good night!
