Murrini Mania: A Work In Progress (Part 3)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I go on - don't forget to wish Q & G a happy wedding!

I had a funny feeling those two might get married someday.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back to Murrini Mania. After my long murrini session, I decided to take a closer look at my transparent murrini focal beads from Part 2. I was very excited to discover they had some wonderful optical effects going on inside - sort of like looking into tiny kaleidoscopes. I fell so in love with them, I decided to keep one! As for the rest, I'm offering them for sale here, as a blog special. The prices are underneath the photos (keep in mind that pulling murrini cane is quite time-consuming) - you can click on the images for a larger version. If you see something you like, e-mail me at sarah.hornik@gmail.com and I will send you a Paypal invoice - first come, first served!

Shipping is $3.50. If you buy two, shipping is FREE. If you buy three or more, I'll throw in free shipping AND a 10% discount!

Murrini
I think that's it for today! I'll be back for Part 4 to show you the beads I make with my latest batch of murrini - whether those come out good or bad, I promise to share the results! (Keep your fingers crossed.)

PS - Oh! Have I mentioned I've been making miniature VESSELS lately? They're so cool - they can even hold water and stuff! But that, my friends, is a whole different story for a whole different day.

I'm hanging on to these, at least for now.
But just out of curiosity - would you buy one?

Love your new hollows, re vessels, I think I'd like to see a top to the vessel so I could put something into it, like an essential oil (lavender oil for burns...)

Gosh Sarah your new murrini beads are awesome! And those close-ups very poster or postcard worthy, I love it. And aren't murrini (and millefiori) the funnest things on earth? I even called one of my jewelry collections after them...
Anyways please keep posting these candies for the (temporarily) glass studio deprived! thanks...
