Some stuff to lighten up the mood...

Beads have a tendency of doing that.

I really like Kronos 2. I could never get Kronos 1 to do anything besides look like cobalt, but the sequel is very easy to strike - and the colors are just wonderful. Here are some new focals that I'm pretty much in love with. I wish I could dive in to one of them. Looks nice and cool in there. (Have I mentioned the horrible heat wave that's going on over here?)
These are now up for auction on eBay (starting at $0.99 again).

And here's a Kronos mini-set, which will be available on Etsy tomorrow, along with a few more mini-sets - due to popular request and to the fact that I've been in a weird mini-set sort of mood these past couple days.

Isn't Kronos 2 great? I wish they'd invent Terra 2. But in the meantime, I managed to get some Terra beads to sort of not turn brown! Hooray!

And finally... the only acceptable form of copycats:

Sorry, but I couldn't resist (and if I posted this one here before, sorry again). This photo is pretty old - 5 years at least - but it's one of my all-time favorites. Irish, the grey one, was my first cat. He got lost a few years ago. Jumped/fell out of a window on the first floor, and just disappeared. I really miss him. I still have dreams about him coming back sometimes. Ever heard those stories about the cats who walk across Russia or something and suddenly show up at their owners' doorstep? Anything's possible. And Irish would only have to walk a few blocks. *sigh*
Moby, the orange guy - AKA the sweetest creature to ever walk the face of the earth - is demanding my attention right now, so I guess I'd better go.

Later.

Isn't that the truth!! Even better when you get some fab colors out of fun reactive glass! Thanks for posting them! Just beautiful. Your Terra ones are just what I needed to see too!!! I STILL am waiting for my Terra to come in...hopefully Wed. Sheesh! I can barely stand it!
Just as well though, cause like you, we're having scorching temps (108!) in Tucson! I dont have cooling in my shop, so I'm out there sweating in my skivies!
As a side, I hope all is working out with your recent copycat frustration! Truely a situation that most of us artists fear at one time or another. It certainly is a subject that has been talked about in many forums. Let us know how it works out.
    Your beads ROCK!!!

      Thanks so much Renee!

Is it humid over there too? Here it's hard to breathe unless you're standing next to an air conditioner. They're saying next week will be better... I don't know if I shoud believe them or not.

The regional term "Yeah, but it's a Dry Heat!" is used frequently, still hurts just the same sometimes!! Oh, and by this Sunday, it'll be 112 degrees here! Yowch!

    Hi Sarah,

I love your copycats ... I have 13 of my own

Your Kronos 2 beads are gorgeous. I have had that now for several weeks but as a beginner was a little afraid of using it because it is so expensive. You have inspired me to try in the next few days.

I have tried my Terra and can not get it to do much more than dark blue/green peacock colors. I should consider myself lucky I guess. Probably because I don't really know what I am doing, you know accidents happen. I actually do not see much difference in Terra and Iris Orange Raku ... that too might be because I don't know what I am doing either ... lol

Keep up your wonderful work and thank you so much for sharing

13 copycats? Wow... sounds like fun.

Good luck with the Kronos... and Terra blue/green peacock colors sounds pretty good to me!

Thanks so much for your kind words.

I laugh *every* time I see this photo! I added it to my favourites on Flickr a few days ago and both my husband & I get a kick out of it. I'd be lost without my two fur babies, so I know how hard it is when you lose one.
