I keep getting misunderstood.

So, ummm, regarding my last post - the people who I was talking about know who they are. So if you were wondering if it was you, then - it probably wasn't. I had no intention of offending everyone who's ever e-mailed me, commented on my blog, forwarded pictures of kittens, etc. I'm not a mean person, really. Slightly self-obsessed, perhaps, but in a charming sort of way. It's just that I require more "personal space" then most. I don't see that as a problem that needs to be solved - trying to "solve" it makes me miserable - it's just the way I am and I'm not going to apologize for that. Now, enough about this.

I got "tagged" a few days ago, and just to show you that I am a nice person (JOKING alert) - I'll play. Okay?

The rules Start with 7 random facts/habits about yourself. People who are tagged have to write their 7 things on their blog Then choose another 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment to tell them they have been tagged and to read your blog.

Okay, here goes. Seven random facts.

1. I'm a "night person". I hate mornings. So much, that I once spent almost 2 years of my life going to bed at noon and waking up to start the day at 8PM. That had to stop at some point, because it was probably unhealthy and I was beginning to feel like a vampire (no blood drinking involved. I'm a vegetarian!). These days, I rarely get out of bed before 1 or 2 PM.

2. I hate the phone. I almost never pick it up when it rings. This freaks out some of my friends and family members, though most are pretty much used to it by now. In fact, I will go to great measures to avoid phone conversations - e-mail and instant messaging work for me.

3. I have a little notebook of potential bead names. I know, this probably sounds insane. I'm always writing new ideas in it. Some are really stupid, like 'Purple Pesto' or 'Jailhouse Rock' (no, haven't used those yet and probably never will). I name almost all my beads, and sometimes it can actually be quite time-consuming... but I could never name one of my kids "Blue Bead #475". They need good names.

4. I am the world's worst procrastinator. But you probably knew that already. I have errands on my to-do list that are 5 or 6 years old. Seriously. Okay, I don't really have a list. But maybe I will do one tomorrow. Or maybe next week. Next week is good.

5. I don't intend to ever get married.

6. I check "My eBay" 34,237 times a day. It's a miracle that I ever manage to get anything else done.

7. I have a major crush on a guy I've never met. And that's all I'm saying. Gotta love the internet.

Now, I am supposed to tag seven people. Seven people? Do I even know seven people? Okay, kidding.
I'm gonna tag Michelle, Vachu, Jenelle, Alice, John, Rachel and another Michelle.
See folks, this is what you get for commenting on my Flickr photos. Please feel free to ignore.

And in other news:

I am Miss June on Beading Times, which is kind of cool. There's an interview with me, which you can read here: http://www.beadingtimes.com/featured_bead_maker.htm

My website desperately needs an update (next week! Next week is good!) - but in the meantime, I thought I'd send you to Flickr to see the new stuff Linda Lee has been making with my beads - she has a special gallery page for them, and I think they are awesome! I love her style. Check them out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lindaleestudio/sets/72157600168648814/

Oh, and since this is supposed to be a bead blog and all - here are some new beads. I'm really happy with my latest batch of focals. Do I say that all the time? Well, I'm REALLY happy with this batch. Been playing around with black and silver, a classic favorite, and also some larger-size raku frit, which now I think I like better than the smaller sizes.

This one is one of my favorites. My friend Indi says she can see Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' in it, with the background on one side and the screaming guy on the other. Can you see it?

I think I'm gonna keep this one. I am really happy with the colors, and besides, Indi would probably be angry if I didn't.

Here are some more from the latest batch. The one with the aqua (middle row, on the right) was a birthday present for my brother. The rest will be available for purchase soon - you know the drill!

Now THAT was a lot of rambling for one day. Off to make more beads now. See you soon.
