Zebras Crossing
I decided to challenge myself / drive myself completely insane by attempting to make an entire set using only 3 colors: black, white and clear. It was NOT easy - trust me! Especially with all those other colors just sitting there, whispering "Melt us too! Melt us too! You know you want to!"
There were a few moments when I thought I was going to break down and give in, and start putting colored frit all over everything, or at least some silver or raku or something. But no! I remained strong throughout the entire process.
Here are the results - a set called 'Zebras Crossing'.
(Is that a lame name? I came up with it while I was working on the beads, and now I just can't think of them as anything else.)

There's a quote I really like, but I don't remember it exactly, and I don't remember who it's by either. Argh. It goes something like, "nothing stifles creativity like total freedom". I can't find it on the web and it's freaking me out! Does anyone know who said that?
Okay, now I am off to make a few very, very colorful beads. See ya later.

Very stunning!!!!! I think my bank account and I are going to be parting this week!!!

Hi Sarah, they look amazing, you are Sooooo talented!!!
Not sure if this is the comment you were thinking of, but could be similar :
“When forced to work within a strict framework the imagination is taxed to its utmost – and will produce its richest ideas. Given total freedom the work is likely to sprawl."
By T.S. Eliot
