Blah.

I've been kinda sick these past few days... bad cough, sore throat, stuffy nose, no appetite... just a blah feeling in general. So I haven't been getting very much done, unfortunately - just lying around watching really stupid TV most of the time. How stupid? Channel E stupid. If I hear one more word about Tomkat's wedding I just might have to kill someone. Blaaaaaaah. I hate daytime TV. I hate Channel E. I hate Tomkat. I really do. Blah.

Being the workaholic that I am, this is really not fun. I've been sitting here imagining all the beads I want to make... can't wait to get back to the torch where I belong!

Just before this all started, I finished another set. This one is called All That Glitters and I'm quite fond of it:

This a sparkly one - goldstone encased in fuchsia, silver foil and more goldstone, and lots of fine silver wire. Silver wire is fun.

Today I'm feeling a bit better. So if it lasts till the evening and I manage to stay awake, I might be uploading some new focal auctions.

See you soon!

hey, i was pondering upon the internet and i came across your website. I currently live in Minnesota,USA. and am just beginning my career in lampworking. i have taken a few classes and have my own small set-up with map gas in my basement. but i am soo eager to learn more and broaden my skills with this amazing medium. i was wondering if you have any tips or good websites, books, things to learn that would help me out! Your beads are an amazing rolemodels and hopefully sometime in the future we can exchange a necklace, one of mine and one of yours. i don't think i will be able to wait that long before buying some of your pieces. i hope all is well, and you are enjoying life. glad i drifted upon you. any advice would be so appreciated! peace

Hi McKayla, Thanks so much for the compliments! Isn't lampworking the best?
A good place to start is Lampwork Etc. - www.lampworketc.com - it's a very friendly lampworking community with a wealth of information. For more sites I like, check the 'Links' section on my website - http://www.glassbysarah.com/links.html
      Good luck!

Hi there... My husband was apparently the winning bidder of these beads, and they were a Christmas present for me, along with one of your focal beads. I just wanted to say that I think you're quite talented. I have enjoyed watching people go crazy with bids over your beads, and I will definitely send pictures of what I make with this set. I'm going to have to hang on to them for a little while until just the right design comes to me. But when it does, I'll let you know.

    Thanks!
