Saturday Special - June 24, 2006: Free Beads!

Remember when I told you how I always get overwhelmed when I get new glass colors? This is getting to be a serious problem. On weeks when I get new glass, I'm always much less productive, which leaves me feeling a little frustrated.
First, I have to make millions and millions of test beads, making it diificult to focus on anything else. Then, when I decide it's time to make a bead set, I have to spend hours thinking what colors to use first. And then, it never seems like enough colors. The thought process: "I think I'll make a set in greens. Hey, but what about the new blue? Green and blue would work together, wouldn't they? And what about this wonderful orange? Could I throw that in and get away with it?  Sure, I'll just tell everyone it's 'summer colors'. But what about the olive, I don't want to make it feel left out! And I should really use some turquoise. I like turquoise. And maybe some coral, to go with the orange? Is this going to be too much color? Naaaaa."
And the results are always, some errr... funky-looking beads.

So. This week we're going to have a different kind of Saturday Special - the free kind! I had a contest like this once on Flickr and it was very successful and a lot of fun, so I'm trying it again here.

This is how it works:
Help me name this bead set.
If I like the name, the beads are yours, absolutely FREE!

Too much color? YOU be the judge!

The rules:
  • You can suggest as many names as you like.
  • Anyone can participate.
  • Please leave the names in the comments to this entry (don't e-mail them to me, that wouldn't be fair.)
  • I will pick a winner on Sunday at midnight (Israel time, click here for a world time clock).
  • As usual, shipping is on me, wherever you are.
  • Be creative!

These beads are approx. 1cm (0.45") in diameter. The strand is 5.7cm (2.3") long.

Good luck!!
